GODWIN DIARY: Heath (& Blake) at theatre 14.11.1805

see my entry for Blake, Arthur to whom the above entry is coded on GD website. More likely to have been William Blake DNB 1757-1827, Heath was a friend and fellow-engraver.

SWEDENBORGIANS: William Blake and his wife Catherine were among the 18 who signed the 1788 Swedenborgian New Church Conference along with the 77 printed names.

Amherst 6.10.1805 at Lord Holland's

Probably William Pitt Amherst DNB 1773-1837. The DNB says very little about this part of his life, he had inherited the title Baron Amherst in 1797. I consulted a few books on the Holland House circle (Sanders, MItchell &c) but found no mention of him as a  part of it, nevertheless the identification seems probable

mrs LeGrand calls 3.10.1805 (& Keir)

Possibly Lydia nee White the wife of George Wren Legrand brewer of Hampstead married 1.6.1787. He was born Canterbury 1759 and died 26.12.1834 at Union Place Lambeth buried 2.1.1835 there the same day as his wife, his will PCC 1836. In Holdens 1811 he was at 2 North Addington Pl Camberwell. His father George of Canterbury will PCC 1807. See work notes below as well
