Blanch Astley sister of Sir Edward Astley married Edward Pratt in 1751, his will PCC 1784 of East Dereham, her will PCC1804, their son Edward Roger Pratt PCC 1838 of Ryston, Norfolk. He married Pleasance dau and heiress of Samuel Browne, mayor of King's Lynn. Ryston or Riston is a deserted village and Riston hall cannot be found in present-day searches

There were two officers in the Royal Artillery at the time, Thomas Blomefield DNB 1744-1822 Lt Col 5.12.1793, Col 26.1.1797 and Benjamin Bloomfield Captain 9.9.1794 will PCC 1846 Rt Hon Benjamin Baron Bloomfield. Since the camp was small and temporary and Major Judson was its commander (see Judgson, Thomas) Capt Benjamin B was perhaps more likely to have been the one Godwin met

True Briton 15.6.1795. Oracle 12.9.1796 The camp at Weybridge, light artillery commanded by Major Judson is suddenly ordered to Woodbridge in Suffolk.

Thomas Judgson, Royal Artillery, Captain 23.3.1786, Lt Colonel 1.1.1800. He vanished from Army list after 1806, but Morning Post Monthly military obituary of 1.1.1836 had Lt Colonel Judgson late of Royal Artillery
