Greenwood, John

Submitted by edpope on

23.5.1794 Greenwood's; adv Shield // 2.11.1799 call on Cox & Greenwood with Fenwick; meet Col Barry

John Greenwood auctioneer Whitcomb St Soho voted Tooke 1796, presumably the son or relative of John Greenwood DNB 1727-92 at whose rooms performances, debates &c took place and the composer William Shield would be a likely person to meet there. Richard Cox & Charles Greenwood army agents of Craig's Court Charing Cross seem more likely to have been the 1799 entry.
