Mary Hays' sister Sarah Hills has a person record on the GD website. Soeur should perhaps be added to her. perhaps to another sister like Joanna Dunkin, or Elizabeth Hays later Mrs Lanfear. The first entry above was probably not the artist George Morland DNB 1763-1804 (according to the DNB he was in the Isle of Wight from April to November 1799) but the second must have referred to him (or his pictures) after his death as Wedd was the name of Morland's solicitor

It may be significant that Godwin slept at Snaresbrook (presumably at the inn) where he slept again on 21.12.1801 after marrying Mary Jane Vial. He had called on Sarah Elwes earlier that day and was possibly still in her company, though he called on her again the next day. Otherwise no information about Cotham
