30.7.1795 miss Barrale at King's (possibly the same person as miss Bannal at King's 3.12.1795)

Judging by results on Ancestry website, the name Barrale was rare in England at that time, more common in France. But one strange anomaly is, there are quite a number of Barrale entries on Ancestry in the censuses of 1841, 1851 &c but absolutely none in the Death Registration Indexes.

C H A Gallean duc de Gadagne was a Fellow of the Royal Society in 1763. No doubt French emigres of that family, likely to be impoverished if regulars of John King's

Lang at miss Godwin's 23.7.1795

Because Hannah Godwin seems to have been friends with the Andersons (see Anderson, James) and particularly with his son George, I speculate that this Lang entry may have referred to Charles Laing 1771-1826 mentioned in George Anderson's will PCC 1817 as his partner.

17.7.1795 tea at Amelia Alderson's with John Walker & Capt Hamilton. adv  Dyer. Miss Alderson was perhaps staying with the Batty's but Godwin didn't mention them. An unmarried lady having four random gentlemen to tea was perhaps a bold and unusual event.

spelt Been the name is rare, spelt Bean quite common. None of the Beens I found so far seem particularly likely

15.7.1795 Dyson & W call. Since Godwin called on Wordsworth the previous day, this W seems very likely to have been Wordsworth

7.6.1796 sup with W at Montagu's. Since Wordsworth had already been named in full that day, this was certainly him
