Probably James Murray (will PCC 1798) barber of Lower Holloway, Islington, formerly of St Martins le Grand. Sun Fire insurance 1780 perukemaker, hairdresser & perfumer of Paternoster Row. His will mentioned James Cornfoot of Hertford St, Fitzroy Sq, confectioner who was a member of London Corresponding Society (Thale)

SOCIETY FOR CONSTITUTIONAL INFORMATION: John Balmanno jr of Spital Sq proposed member 11.5.1792 by Michael Pearson, 2nded by Wm Sharpe. Michael Pearson was his father's partner. In 1793 Balmanno proposed Stewart Kyd.

Masters, Martin Kedgwin

Masters 3.12.1792 dines

Martin Kedgwin Masters was baptised at Maidstone in 1770 son of Martin & Elizabeth Masters. His son Martin Chamberlain Masters by Anne was born at Watford 26.9.1805, and on 29.9.1823 he married Mary Ann Priest at St Mary Lambeth. His eldest daughter Ann died 9.10.1868 at Great Malvern. See Godwin Diary website Person Record. 3.1.1819 mrs Masters may have been his first wife.

 

Destenonville

26.11.1792 Destenonville at Holcroft's.

French National Legislative Assembly 8.3.1792 a French officer Destinanville had been expelled from Pondicherry and was asking the assembly's support to be reinstated. 20.2.1794 the Military Commission of Angers condemned to death Desmarez called Destinanville, ex General of the troops of the Republic in La Vendee. These may both be the same person as the name is rare in France. It adds to the stream of foreign officers calling on Holcroft

Godwin goes with Jardine in it to Woronzow's and Tooke's. Newspapers Monday 11.8.1788 Robert Dallas barrister Lincolns Inn married the daughter of Major Jardine of the Artillery. Robert Dallas DNB 1756-1824
