In Godwin's 1796 list for 1788 (crossed out) and in 1794 version. GD website has a person record for him but the 1796 list entry is not coded to it.

Joseph Soderini is listed in Highfill, Burnim & Langhan's Biog Dict of Actors &c as a violinist (fl 1758-1794), no details of his wife are given, though he was said to be very ugly

 

17.7.1788 at Shields' in a very musical gathering. A cellist and violinist James Smith (fl 1773-1809) is listed in Highfill, Burnim & Langhan's Biog Dict of Actors &c. On 27.11.1794 Godwin supped at Shield's with Crosdill, adv Collick & Smith, and on 1.3.1795 he supped at Holcroft's with Shield, Smith musn & Thelwall. He could also have been the Smith at Thelwall's on 2.2.1795 and/or the Smith at Holcroft's on 22.4.1795, but see Smith, George. The will PCC 1823 of James Smith, musician of Woolwich may have been his.

Bosse 29.6.1788 at Holcroft's. Cesare Bosse d. 1802 (Highfill, Burnim & Langhan's Biog Dict of Actors &c) was a composer. Godwin noted him again at Shield's on 17.7.1788, then as Bossy at Holcroft's on 5.4.1791 and 7.7.1791 and finally Godwin dined at Bosse's on 9.11.1791

Raikes 27.6.1788 at Robinson's

Identified probably wrongly in GD website as his brother Robert. Godwin met Raikes once at Robinson's on 27.6.1788 and 2 weeks later the 15 year old George Dyson and his 13 year old brother Abraham dined with Godwin. George Dyson referred to Thomas Raikes in a letter of 8.10.1810 (Nat Arch TS11/463) as "my highly respected old master" who had just lost his wife, as Thomas Raikes, Governor of the Bank of England, just had, which Dyson in South America had seen in a newspaper

At Gibbon's birthday party (where Godwin probably wasn't), this was perhaps William Fullarton (DNB 1754-1808) then MP for Haddington. The writing suggests an 'r' though the ink is hardly visible. (The s has now been corrected to an r on GD website)
