I could find no trace of the death of Mrs Ann Landseer but she seems to have been the person Crabb Robinson was referring to (see below for details). In noting her Christian beliefs Robinson was defending her against those who confounded her radical views with disbelief. He could not have meant John Landseer's wife Jane nee Potts who lived till 1840

There were a number of French painters at the time called Laurent or Laurens, none of them is said in the art dictionaries to have visited England. Jean Francois Laurent born Brussels 1773 was probably the most likely, as he was said in Benezit to have been a painter and art restorer. Maria Anne Lobrot was the daughter of Frederic Lobrot a merchant of Birmingham who died in 1807. (will Nat Arch PROB11/1379). She was born about 1782 (Morning Post 8.6.1836). All the Lobrot entries in Godwin's diary belong to her, as does Lebrau on 15.2.11 when she first called with Margaret Jones. A Marianne Lobrot died in 1859 at Reading.
