Gebhard Friedrich August Wendeborn (PCC wills 1813 Hamburg) born Magdeburg, in England 1767-93 then went to Hamburg and couldn't return to England because of the war. Minister of German chapel on Ludgate Hill, wrote 'A View of Great Britain' and a German Grammar, both published by Robinson in 1790/1. Leeds Archives letter to Rd How Aspley 1792 (not seen)

Broome Philip Witts 1767-1845 of Champion Hill, Camberwell, is the most likely candidate, though there were two other cousins of his called Broome Witts living in Berkshire and Wiltshire at the time. Broome Philip Witts married Jane Lake, was partner in 1794 in Witts & Rowley, silk mercers & muslin warehouse, 21 Friday St, and moved to a large house in Brunswick Sq about 1800

James Montgomery mariner (1726-93) of Stepney buried Bunhill Fields 7.2.1793 age 66, married Susan Anthony of Beaconsfield 20.1.1774 St Olave Hart St London. The will of John Anthony PCC 1800 (see his entry for his relation to Hollis) mentioned his sister Susanna Montgomery and her children James, Susanna (died Paris 1851) and Margaret. Kedrick Sharp of Orford, Suffolk appr 1782 to James Montgomery mariner of Whitechapel
