Majendie, Lewis

Lewis Majendie 1756-1833, younger brother of Henry William Majendie, bishop of Bangor DNB 1754-1830, married 1783 at St Marylebone Elizabeth Hoghton, granddaughter of Timothy Hollis' sister Elizabeth who married William Ashurst (d 1735), their daughter Elizabeth married Sir Henry Hoghton and died in childbed 1761, her daughter Elizabeth survived and married Lewis Majendie. Codicil to Timothy Hollis's will dated 16.5.85 mentions his niece Elizabeth Majendie Hoghton

Chelsum, James

Rev James Chelsum DNB 1738-1801 though very much a Church of England man, was a member in 1788 for the Society for Abolition of the Slave Trade so would have had something in common with Hollis. The name Chelsum is very rare which adds to positive identification
 

Alexander, Miss

Letters of Joanna Baillie online mentions two spinster sisters that the Baillie sisters had known many years, whose brother was Chief Baron Alexander (18.5.1755 - 20.6.1842). This could be one or both of Christian died unmarried 25.2.1846 in 84th year or Jane died unmarried 7.2.1843 at Dover in 77th year, both left PCC wills

1786 subscribers to HMWilliams poems Mrs M, Miss Albinia M, Miss C M, Thomas James M Esq (see Thomas James Matthias DNB 1753/4-1835). As this one was part of a female plural, either Marianne Nicholls (nee Popple) mother of TJM or (most likely) his sister Albinia, and/or other sisters. Rev Norton Nicholls (see 16.3.1789) left a legacy to TJM (PCC wills 1807). And see Weston (26.10.1788)
