Martin Davy DNB 1763-1839. He was a friend of Dr Samuel Parr's, became Doctor of Medicine in 1797, and was said to have been a religious sceptic though he later became a clergyman. He was abroad in Europe as tutor to Lord Ossulston for two years, perhaps at the time of the first entry above, but I haven't looked closely enough to identify the dates of that tour. In his will PCC (proved 21.11.1807 by Andrew Smith, surgeon of HMS Reynard) George Days surgeon of 5th W India regt left all to his daughter Elizabeth Dayes of 11 Plumpton Row Brompton. Probably Sophia Elizabeth (1809-1842) wife of Augustus De Morgan (DNB 1806-1871) and daughter of William Frend (DNB 1757-1841). They married on 3.8.1837 and had seven children

Very likely Peter DeWint DNB 1784-1849, as his good friend William Hilton DNB 1786-1839 had been recently calling on Godwin. GD website has a person record for Hilton and is not fully sure of the identification, but De Vint strengthens it. Hilton had called on Godwin the night before, and called again two days later
